Founded by Lucy Smith and Pagan Mckenzie, Brutal is made up of a small core team who run the collective year round. The rest of the collective are made up of our wonderful artists, Djs and technicians.
Lucy Smith Co-founder and Producer
Lucy is a visual artist, film-maker and painter. She set up Brutal Collective during her time studying at Edinburgh College of Art, graduting with a degree in Painting BA (Hons).
Pagan Mckenzie, Co-founder and Director
Pagan is a mixed media abstract conceptual and immersive installation artist. She set up Brutal Collective during uni and graduated from Edinburgh college of art with a degree in Sculpture BA (Hons). She is currently beginning a masters in Sculpture in London at Royal Academy of Arts.
Cammy Mahoney, Technician
Security Engineer by trade, Cammy is our top technician and top guy! He has worked with us on a variety of projects, whether thats installing sculpture, hanging paintings, setting up PA and lighting systems or transporting artworks.
Fraser Anderson, Front of house
Fraser is always the first face of the Brutal Team that you will see. Model by day, doors by night, at Brutal events he's always serving tickets and face!
